One of the primary focuses of the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs, the Veterans Homes at King and Union Grove provide services and living assistance to the veterans and their spouses who live there. These Homes employ a wide variety of health care, social work, food service, and related positions, some of which are recruited for on a continuous basis.

Note: Due to the patient/resident working relationship each applicant must sign an authorization to permit the Department of Veterans Affairs to conduct a background check. This is required by law to document that any person who may be appointed has not been convicted of a crime related to the disregard of or inappropriate relationship with vulnerable persons akin to the persons the appointee will serve.
Both homes also have opportunities for temporary employment. These temporary positions, referred to as Limited Term Employment (LTE) jobs, are limited to 1043 hours in a year and may be either full-time or part-time.
