Both forms are required to apply for volunteer openings.
In addition, if you have ever been discharged from a branch of military service or reserve component, please attach a copy of your DD214.

Adaptive Computer Assistance: One-on-one work with senior members to help learn state-of-the-art adaptive computers. Help the members use email, enjoy mind-stimulating activities, and improve hand-eye coordination. Must enjoy working with elders with a wide range of physical and cognitive abilities. A majority have never used a computer.

Bingo: Volunteers to assist with bingo – played at Stordock Hall every Tuesday from 1:15 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. and at Ainsworth Hall every Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.

Bowling: Assist members with ramp bowling.

Ceramics: The ceramics program is looking for anyone who has worked with or has knowledge of ceramics. The members really enjoy this activity and your help is needed. Flexible schedule.

Coffee Shop Assistance: Help with stocking, preparing, and delivering food. If you’re good at making change, we need your help behind the counter too!

Gift Shop: Volunteers needed to greet people, do light bookwork, and record transactions.

One-on-One Visiting With Members: Come and enjoy swapping stories with the wonderful members at The Wisconsin Veterans Home at King. Some members also enjoy being read to, having letters written for them, or just visiting over a cup of coffee or soda. Flexible schedules.

Outpatient Clinic: The Outpatient Clinic is looking for volunteers to help push wheelchair-bound members to their appointments. Times are Mondays and Tuesdays 9:00-11:00 a.m. and Thursdays and Fridays from 8:00-11:00 a.m.

Playing Cards: Do you enjoy playing cards (particularly cribbage)? This is going to be a new activity offered to members as soon as we have sufficient volunteers. Time to be determined.

Projectionist: Learn to run our projection equipment for showing movies in the theater.

Trips: Several all camp trips for members are offered. Volunteers needed to assist (Examples: Timber Rattler games, shopping at Fox Valley River Mall, WalMart, Fleet Farm, trip to Sentry Theater, Packer Hall of Fame, Museums, concerts). There are also shopping and scenic bus ride trips for individual halls.

Wii Games: Enjoy playing Wii games? Come in and teach our members to have fun learning the various games!

Woodshop: The woodshop program is looking for several volunteers to help out on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00-11:00 a.m. and 1:00-4:00 p.m.
