Veterans Home Commandant – Union Grove
Reid Aaron

Reid Aaron photoReid Aaron serves as the Commandant of the Wisconsin Veterans Home at Union Grove. As Commandant, Reid has the responsibility of overseeing the continuum of care for veterans requiring assisted living as well as skilled care. A licensed nursing home administrator, Reid has over thirty years of experience in healthcare operations, thirteen of which were in the field of geriatric care.

A retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, he spent four years on active duty as an Army Aviator and seventeen years in the U.S. Army Reserve. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Aviation Command and Staff Officer’s Course and U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.

Reid received his Bachelor’s Degree from Hofstra University as a Distinguished Military Graduate and his Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration and Planning from Johns Hopkins University.

He now resides in Kenosha.

Nursing Staff

The nursing staff’s primary focus is on resident health and wellness. Together, Registered Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants coordinate resident health care by providing these services:

  • Medication management
  • Physician follow-up
  • Management of equipment and supplies
  • Assessment
  • Teaching
  • Supportive care – member and family
  • Community access
  • Integration and coordination
  • Resource management

Social Services Staff

Our social services staff get to know each resident – helping them transition to their new home, coordinating family conferences, monitoring health and emotional conditions and working on end of life issues.

Dietary Staff

Registered dieticians, along with food service staff, plan and prepare healthy, nutritious meals. At Union Grove, residents choose what they’d like to eat for each of their meals.

Activities Staff

The recreation and activities staff design and run activities that promote wellness, emotional stability, spiritual fulfillment and friendly interaction with other residents. On any given day, you’ll see residents enjoy:
