The Women Veterans Summit 2012 is an interactive event during the Year of the Veteran for women veterans to network and also gain access to services. This year the theme is “Celebrating Women through the Arts.” Country Artist Ricky Lee will be a special guest and perform his hit single “She’s an American Soldier.” There will also be a special showing of the film “The Invisible War” during the summit. “The Invisible War” is a documentary about the epidemic of rape of soldiers in the U.S. Military.

From 12:00–5:00 p.m. there will be other activities such as massage therapy, art therapy and counseling. Women veteran-owned businesses will have products available for purchase. Veterans resource organizations and claims representatives will be on hand to talk with veterans about programs, benefits and services available to them.
