Crowley removed as Commandant of the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King

(MADISON) – The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs announces that J.W. (Bill) Crowley has been removed from his post as Commandant of the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King today.

Kenneth B. Black, Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs, said he intends to implement changes in the department staff and its facilities based on the goals he will discuss at the upcoming Board of Veterans Affairs’ meeting in Union Grove. He has been reviewing all senior management positions, as well as the structure of the agency, and indicated that previous discussions with Mr. Crowley regarding the direction of the Veterans Home at King were a factor in his decision.

Secretary Black also noted that Jackie Moore, the Deputy Commandant, would assume the acting duties of Commandant.
