Pearl Harbor Day ceremony at Union Grove honors veterans
(MADISON) – About one-hundred people attended a ceremony hosted by the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at Union Grove, to mark the 68th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 and America’s entry into World War II. Governor Jim Doyle proclaimed December 7, 2009 as a day for the recognition of Pearl Harbor Day in Wisconsin.

“December 7, 1941 is a special day in our history,” WDVA Secretary Ken Black said, “one that we should never forget.” Black also read the Governor’s Proclamation.
