The Servicemembers Civil Relief Act of 2003 (SCRA), which replaced the former Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Civil Relief Act of 1940 (SSCRA), provides a number of important protections and specific relief measures for military servicemembers who go onto active duty military service with the U.S. Armed Forces.
