Welcome to the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA)

Thank you for your service…and welcome to the WDVA website. We're honored and humbled by our veterans' selfless dedication and unwavering commitment to freedom…to their country…and to their fellow veterans. We, along with the nation's citizens, thank you for your service.

We encourage all veterans, from our newest veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan to our older veterans who served in World War II, to learn about the benefits to which you're entitled. Whether you're interested in continuing your education, securing a home loan or finding out more about health assistance programs, this website is your one-stop guide to benefits and services offered by the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

WDVA in Action

Making connections on behalf of Wisconsin's veterans community is an important part of WDVA's mission. Secretary Black and other staff are constantly seeking to build coalitions, track down funding sources, learn about new ideas and opportunities, and gather support for our veterans programs and benefits. Getting out into the community and meeting face-to-face with the men and women WDVA serves is truly a pleasure.
